What is CarpeDeal?

CarpeDeal is a NYC based discount site that allows merchants and buyers to connect via amazing deals! We aim to provide the best deals in different establishments around the city in food, entertainment, beauty, and shopping. However, our deals don't expire daily which allows you to access a deal up to three days after it has appeared on our site.

Does CarpeDeal have group buying?

Our group buying works differently than other deal sites and is in the best interest of our customers. Our vouchers will have a maximum and a minimum savings and the more of you that purchase the vouchers, the closer everyone is to getting the best deal for your buck! For example, a voucher for an Italian restaurant started at $20 for $40 worth of cuisine (minimum savings); as more people purchased the deal then the cost of the voucher would be reduced gradually over the life of the deal to $15 for $40 worth of cuisine (maximum savings). You will be charged the lowest price when the deal ends no matter what price you originally paid. Therefore, it is in your best interest to tell your friends (and total strangers) about CarpeDeal!

How do I redeem my voucher?

First, CarpeDeal will notify you via email that your deal is ready. You may then visit your profile and click on "My Deals" (most vouchers will be ready within 24 hours of purchase). Before attempting to redeem your voucher it is crucial that you PRINT it. After it's printed, you can visit the merchant or restaurant any time before the expiration date.

When will I be charged?

Your credit card will be charged when the life of the deal ends, usually after 3 days.

Does the voucher expire?

Yes, every voucher expires and every voucher has a different expiration date that can be found at the bottom of the print-out.

Can I return my voucher(s)?

All sales are final. The voucher itself is issued by the merchant, not by CarpeDeal and therefore all problems with the products and/or services should be addressed to the merchant. However, if there was a problem with our website or if you are unable to contact the merchant please feel free to contact CarpeDeal for assistance by clicking on the "Contact Us" portion of our site.

Can I buy a voucher as a gift for someone else?

Of course! We believe that our vouchers are some of the most original (and budget savvy) gifts out there!

If I don't redeem the full value of the voucher can I use it later?

Unfortunately, that's not up to us. The merchant is the one who decides whether or not to offer credit for the remainder of the voucher.

Can I use this voucher with other coupons or specials?

No, this voucher cannot be used with other coupons, specials, or promotions. Also, keep in mind that the voucher cannot be used as a gratuity when at a restaurant or bar (so don't forget to tip).

Do I need an ID to redeem my voucher?

Yes, you will be unable to redeem your voucher unless you have a valid ID. Please note that this is in your best interest!
